Adaptation of Norman Rockwell's "Adoration of the Magi"

The inspiration for this painting comes from a painting created by my Illustrator hero,
Norman Rockwell.
A copy of his painting, "Son of David (Adoration of the Magi)" is shown below, published in Woman's Home Companion, 1941

"They Shall Not Have Died in Vain"

The image on the left is dedicated to the Scouts and parents of Troop 280, Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America. For years Troop 280 assisted Lincoln Memorial Cemetary, Portland, Oregon in commemorating those who have fallen in battle.
Three of the Scouts pictured, including my son Rob, have become Eagle Scouts.

The image on the right was created for the LARC exhibition, "Praise Him and Magnify Him Forever" and is inspired by a text from the Canticle of Daniel, found in the Apocrypha.

These images are dedicated to the students and faculty of Shu-Te Girls Home Economics & Commercial High School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C.
Each year students from Shu-Te participate in the Portland Rose Festival Parade and Dragonboat races. As an element of their stay, they present a Traditional Chinese Music and Dance Program.
Our family has had the privilege of hosting Shu-Te students for four of these visits.
